Agent Jane Blonde Review, RTP and Casino Bonus info
What happens when you want to make a Casino Royale type of licensed slot game featuring James Bond but don’t want to take the trouble of obtaining licensing rights? You make up your own version of 007 but turn the HE into a She and give her the same powers and skills that Bond possesses. To make things better, agent Jane Blonde looks great in a spy cat suit.
Microgaming’s Agent Jane Blonde is pretty much a tongue-in-cheek parody of James Bond in the same vein as Austin Powers. Except this time it plays everything straight. It’s like a James Bond spin-off featuring one of the most action-oriented Bond girls turning into a spy and working undercover.
Gameplay
The game is a 5-reel, 9-payline type of basic slot game. It employs a cartoonish style for every symbol that blends well with the rest of the signature Microgaming gameplay. You won’t have to deal with boring playing card symbols, at least.
You instead have to match the heroine, a pistol, lipstick, wrist device, a cocktail shaker and glass, explosive chewing gum, and x-ray glasses with one another. You need to match 5-of-a-kind symbols or at least 2-of-a-kind for special symbols to earn coinage, bonus features, or 2x to 3x multipliers to your original bet.
Agent Jane Blonde Bonus Rounds
The bonus features for the game include one for free spins and one for the wilds. There are free spins galore available to you by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols and triggering the bonus game. The extra 15 spins should earn you quite a hefty amount of coins, pounds, and pence.
As for the wild symbols, they help substitute for all other symbols on the reel, resulting in winning paylines that won’t otherwise give out a win. The exception to this substitution is the scatters. Every time you win, you’ll also get a fan service animation of the secret agent in her white cat suit, striking a bold pose.
Pros and Cons
It’s an appealing slots game featuring a female James Bond. What’s not to like? Plenty if you want something groundbreaking. Here’s a fast fact. Agent Jane Blonde is full of clichés. Whether this is a pro or a con is up to you.
The gameplay is solid, where you can either bet on the RNG results or do a predict-a-card type of game as the slots’ gamble feature. The animations are also endearing enough to make you forget that nothing about the game is even slightly original.
Verdict
Does Agent Jane Blonde do well in translating the James Bond series in gender-bent slots form the same way videogame vixen Lara Croft of Tomb Raider became the female version of Indiana Jones in the 3D action-adventure genre?
The Microgaming online slot is a little too basic to be compared to anything ground breaking but if you are looking for something simple and fun from a pastiche of James Bond clichés contained within a cartoony IP, then Agent Jane Blonde is worth a look.
